Key take-aways from this course

Course description
Safety is a mandatory legal requirement for robotic applications - as for any other type of machine. Collaborative robotics is changing the traditional paradigm in the use of industrial robots by making it possible to dispense with a safety enclosure under certain circumstances. Unlike traditional industrial robots, the required level of safety for human-robot collaboration is achieved by limiting the force and power the robot can exert in such a way that it does not cause injury in case of collision. The advantages of this type of collaboration are obvious: reduced space requirements, lower plant costs, higher productivity and higher quality of the manufactured products.
To put a collaborative solution into operation, it is necessary to comply with the European directives. This training is designed to help designers, manufacturers and users of machinery and all the personnel involved in this process to understand the requirements of the European Machinery Directive 2006/42/CE and the standards harmonized with it.
