Course description

This course is designed to give newcomers to the PolyScope X URCaps Framework a quick and more guided start for their upcoming URCap Projects.

After this 2-day course you will know the basics on creating your own PolyScope X URCaps in combination with the PolyScope X SDK. The SDK is a development container, which could either be run via GitHub Codespaces or directly on your machine via Docker / WSL2. The basis for the training will be the corresponding PolyScope X Documentation. The training stays quite close to the resources available in the documentation:

How to get started and setup your system to run the SDK inside the development container
Start and access the PolyScope X URSim
Create a URCap project
Develop a simple URCap following the Getting Started section

If you are already an experienced programmer, you can use these resources to get a quick start yourself. Should you prefer to have more guidance during your first steps into PolyScope X URCap Programming this course is then for you. The course is planned for two days. But during the second half of day two of the course there is some dedicated time set aside for discussing concrete question regarding your upcoming PolyScope X URCap projects.

This course is aimed at Programmers already familiar with Universal Robots and the Programming in Polyscope. At least Online Academy and Core Training are required. PolyScope X URCaps are mainly developed in TypeScript and Angular, so having a basic understanding of this language or a different Objective Oriented Programming language is required as well.

Important: Please bring a laptop, with the PolyScope X SDK already installed. Reach out in case assistance is required.

Practical information

Cancellation Policy

If cancellation is received more than 5 business days before the first day of the Training a full refund will be granted. If cancellation is received less than 5 business days before the training, the participant will be charged 50% of the activity fee. In case of a participant not showing up for a training without prior cancellation, the full amount will be charged.

In the event that a Training is cancelled by the Training Provider a full refund of any paid amounts will be granted.

Registration Policy

The Trainings will be open for registration up until 5 business days before the first day of the training. After this date, no further registrations will be accepted.
